On the 3rd of January, Torleif Frimannslund joined Grieg Star taking over the project department as our new VP of Technology and Decarbonisation.
“There are huge challenges ahead for everyone in this business. But my goal is to help Grieg be a leading force in both decarbonisation and utilising new technology. We are already in a great spot and on the right track. From the outside, it has been evident to me that Grieg Star has highly competent people, as well as owners and management willing and eager to invest in the future,” Torleif says.
The 43-year-old joins Grieg Star from Odfjell Drilling. Torleif will be leading a small team of engineers working on implementing Grieg Star’s ambitious strategy to leverage technology to be a leading force in the maritime green shift.
“Torleif has a passion for innovation, digitisation, teamwork, motivation and problem-solving. He has practical experience from implementing new technology, setting up new green solutions, and digitisation. He has experience both as a project manager and manager. I am truly looking forward to working with Torleif,” says Head of Grieg Star, Atle Sommer.
