Grieg Star manages or acts as owner’s representative for over 30 vessels within Open Hatch and conventional bulk. Our team of Vessel Managers are in charge of the technical management of a fleet of 25 ships within the Open Hatch segment. Would you like to be one of them?

 

As a Vessel Manager in Grieg Star, you are responsible for the management of a group of ships and you will work closely with the Master and Shipboard Management Team. We will trust you to manage, evaluate and better the ships’ overall performance. Safety, security and client satisfaction are of the highest priority to us, and you will have a vital role in ensuring and developing the desired HSEQ standard onboard. 

Together with our Manning department, you will participate in evaluating the crew and selection of officers. And you will actively participate in the digital transformation and continuous improvement of the company. To sum up: we trust you to help us build and maintain world-class ship management operations.

We are preferably looking for a person with at least a Bachelor’s degree in maritime technical studies. Competency within the electrical systems onboard a ship would be an advantage. But we still want you to apply if you have a shorter or different education but notably relevant experiences or qualities. Do you have a proven track record within ship management or a strong understanding of digital tools and solutions? Then you may be a perfect fit for us. We expect you to communicate excellent in English and one of the  Scandinavian languages.

You will work in our headquarters in Grieg Gaarden at the waterfront of Vågen in Bergen, 5 minutes from Torvalmenningen and the fish market.
